Job Description
3 months contract with local authority
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Kitchen Assistant to join our team in the food/catering/hospitality industry. The Kitchen Assistant will be responsible for supporting the kitchen staff in food preparation cooking and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food strong teamwork skills and a willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Assisting the kitchen staff with food preparation and cooking tasks
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area
- Assisting with receiving and storing food supplies
- Following all health and safety regulations and guidelines
- Supporting the kitchen team in various tasks as needed
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Cook Chef or Kitchen Assistant is preferred
- Knowledge of basic food preparation and cooking techniques
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
- Flexibility to work in a fast-paced and dynamic kitchen setting
- Previous experience in a school or primary school kitchen is a plus
