About the Role
Join us as a Backend Developer where youll immediately contribute to the high-impact Marvel project while helping to architect and scale future solutions especially those /C# in our evolving tech ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Design develop and maintain backend systems and RESTful APIs using Java and AWS Lambda ensuring high performance and scalable architecture.
- Optimise and manage MySQL databases focusing on schema design indexing and query performance to drive system reliability.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with frontend developers UX designers product owners and other stakeholders to deliver seamless user experiences.
- Produce clean maintainable and testable code championing best practices like TDD code reviews and pair programming.
- Diagnose troubleshoot and resolve critical production issues with urgency and composure maintaining uptime and user satisfaction.
- Proactively contribute to architectural discussions technical roadmap planning and shape scalable solutions for /C# projects.
Requirements
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven commercial experience in Java for backend development (e.g. REST APIs microservices).
- Hands-on experience designing and deploying serverless architectures using AWS Lambda.
- Deep understanding of MySQL schema design query optimization performance tuning.
- Outstanding communication skills capable of translating complex technical information into clear business-friendly language for non-technical stakeholders.
- A decisive and pragmatic contributor who can make an immediate impact adapting quickly to evolving priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to learn fast iterate quickly and deliver with quality under tight timelines.
Nice-to-Have
- Familiarity with C#/.NET especially in designing clean scalable architectures and migration planning -based systems.
- Experience with other AWS services such as API Gateway S3 DynamoDB CloudWatch that complement Lambda workflows.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines DevOps practices infrastructure automation (e.g. Terraform AWS CDK) and cloud-based deployment strategies.
