Job Summary
Job Title: Full-Time Faculty Mechanical Engineering (Starting Spring 2026)
Classification: Faculty (Institutional Support)
Reports To: Dean School of Engineering and Computing
Location: Kuwait City Kuwait
Job Purpose
Teach and mentor undergraduate students in the Mechanical Engineering program within the School of Engineering and Computing. The position contributes to AIUs mission of developing technically proficient and globally minded graduates through effective instruction research and service to the university community.
Key Responsibilities
Teach undergraduate courses such as Dynamic Modelling and Control Systems Thermodynamics Heat Transfer and Senior Design Projects
Supervise and mentor undergraduate student projects and research initiatives
Contribute to curriculum development program assessment and continuous improvement activities
Engage in research and scholarly work aligned with the field of mechanical engineering
Participate in academic advising and student mentorship programs
Serve on departmental school and university committees
Foster a diverse inclusive and collaborative learning environment
Required Skills and Qualifications
Excellent communication and instructional skills in English (language of instruction is English)
Demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence scholarship and student success
Ability and willingness to collaborate with colleagues across multiple disciplines
Strong analytical problem-solving and organizational skills
Commitment to promoting diversity equity and inclusion in education
Education and Experience
Masters or PhD in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field required
University-level teaching experience preferred
Active research or professional engagement in the field desirable
