Covestro seeks dynamic individuals ready to help shape the future by confronting new challenges embracing new experiences and taking on increasing responsibilities. The Covestro location in Frankfort Indiana produces large scale waterborne acrylic emulsions for the use in coatings and adhesives. As a QC Lab Intern within Covestro you will be responsible for a wide range of lab activities to support day to day and ongoing projects. Candidates must be available for a 3-month assignment during the Summer of 2026 (late May to early August).

Responsibilities:

  • Polymer emulsion QC testing including but not limited to GC viscometer pH solids and particle size
  • Calibration and verification of lab equipment
  • Data and record keeping
  • Abide by laboratory safety procedures and protocols
  • Interns will work under general supervision but with a high degree of independence once trained

WHAT YOU OFFER

Basic Qualifications

  • Enrollment in a Bachelors degree program with a major in Chemistry Biochemistry Biology or other related field of science
  • Completion of Freshman year
  • Overall GPA of 3.0

Preferred Qualifications

  • Completion of sophomore year preferred
  • Previous lab experience is a plus

Skills and Experience

  • Experience with and knowledge about basic chemistry and safe work habits in a laboratory environment
  • Demonstrated PC skills and ability to work within Microsoft Office programs
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail as well as strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
