Job Description
Our client is an Australian subsidiary of a globalsupplier of industrial equipment servicinga wide variety of industries and applications. The business is a household name within the manufacturing sector and leads the field in product ranges and technologies they work with.
At this time weare seeking atrade-qualified Field Service Technician to assist with the installation and servicing of this equipment throughout Melbourne and Country Victoria. For the right candidate this role represents a real chance for career development and progression opportunities within a well-established international business.
Your day-to-day focus is to provide outstanding field service to a diverse customer base. On a daily basis your duties will include but not be limited to:
- Installation and commissioning of new applications.
- Operator training on new and existing installations.
- Responding to calls for service and breakdown situations.
- Conducting remedial service and preventative maintenance on equipment both in the workshop and on client sites.
- Consulting with the Sales team on new application specifications and solutions.
- Ad hoc duties as and when required.
In order to succeed our ideal candidate will possess most or all of the following skills and experience:
- Trade qualifications in a relevant mechanical or electrical discipline
- If you dont already have one the ability to obtain a Restricted Electrical License is mandatory.
- 3-5 years previous experience in a similar role.
- Well-developed fault finding and troubleshooting skills
- You are amotivated self-starterable to work autonomously andorganise / prioritiseyour own workload
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
