As a student programmer you will:
Translate existing design documentation into front-end structures.
Collaborate with designers to implement user interface components using React.
Write clean well-documented and maintainable code using component-based programming patterns.
Troubleshoot and debug front-end issues in a timely manner.
Participate in frequent meetings with faculty to report progress and obstacles as well as report status.
Contribute to and take notes during user testing sessions.

We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications:
Basic understanding of HTML CSS and JavaScript.
Experience with version control services like GitHub.
Comfortability with command-line tools and workflows.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
An ideal candidate should have some previous experience with one or more of the following:
Experience with front-end build tools such as Rollup Webpack or Babel.
Knowledge of CSS preprocessors like SASS or LESS.
Basic understanding of accessibility (WCAG) and web performance best practices.
Experience working with or accessing existing RESTful APIs.
Exposure to testing frameworks such as Jest or Mocha.
Up to the discretion of the faculty supervisor/mentor; however at a maximum of 10 hours per week for the academic year.
Must be able to complete the following with or without a reasonable accommodation:
