You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailFundy St. Lawrence Dawning Waters Regional Council is seeking a Regional Minister Pastoral Relations and Community of Faith Supporton a Permanent Full-time basis (35 hours per week).
Fundy St. Lawrence Dawning Waters Regional Council Bermuda-Nova Scotia Regional Council and First Dawn Eastern Edge Regional Council represent diverse contexts of urban centres and rural communities. The three Regions are comprised of the following areas Fundy St. Lawrence Dawning Waters (Gasp Quebec NB PEI) Bermuda-Nova Scotia (NS and Bermuda) and First Dawn Eastern Edge (NL). The Regions are committed to supporting the United Churchs work of reconciliation and its desire to be intercultural.
The Regional Minister for Pastoral Relations and Community of Faith Support assists the Regional Council to serve support and provide oversight to the Communities of Faith (CoF) as well as provide pastoral relations support and program support for related Divisions/Teams and committees and pastoral relations volunteers. They encourage and support Ministry Personnel towards health joy and excellence in ministry practice liaising with the Office of Vocation Staff other Regional Ministers and General Council Staff. They support to the Regional Council and its decision-making bodies.
The current main areas of focus are:
Serve Support and Provide Oversight and Pastoral Relations Support to Communities of Faith (60%): Provide support and assist the Regional Council to live out its oversight of Communities of Faith in light of the Mission and Ministry covenants between Communities of Faith and the Regional Council; Ensure training and support for Communities of Faith in the search and selection process for Ministry Personnel; discerning options including Intentional Interim Ministry cooperative arrangements innovative ministries Ecumenical Shared Ministry lay leadership amalgamation disbanding and closure.
Support Ministry Personnel towards health joy and excellence in ministry practice (30%): Provide support to the region with respect to finding ways to foster support and collegiality for Ministry Personnel; provide support in emergency situations; Assist and liaise with Office of Vocation Minister on accreditation and issues of standing with respect to the pastoral relations covenant process.
Support to the Regional Council and its Decision-making Bodies (10%): Provide support for Regional Council Executive in decision that require Pastoral Relations information when invited to do so and provide support to committees/teams related to pastoral relations community Support and oversight.

Working Conditions
The United Church of Canada has adopted a hybrid workplace model providing flexibility for this position working both off-site and in the Fundy St. Lawrence Dawning Waters Regional Council Office located at Sackville NB. The incumbent will be provided for work purposes use of secure devices and must be available by email phone teams or zoom during regular office hours Monday to and viewing a computer screen for long periods keyboarding/using assistive devices or technologies intermittent physical activity including sitting standing and being on the phone for long periods of time will be required. Additional hours and attendance at evening and weekend meetings may be required. Considerable travel within the Region and some travel within Canada is required.

Compensation
The target hiring range for this position is $77441.97 to $88261.46 with the ability to progress to a maximum of $103256.40. This is based on category 8 on our salary range. Placement on the salary range will be based on factors such as market condition internal equity candidate experience skills and qualifications relevant to the role. Pension and group benefit plans coverage and annual vacation round out this compensation package.
