Job Description
- Bachelors Degree in a technical field (engineering physics chemistry etc.)
- 3 years of industry experience in an engineering role
- Deep understanding of the physics behind material and device properties (mechanical electrical chemical)
- Experience working in a lab environment with focus on understanding the root cause of failures
- Proficiency in statistical data analysis and the ability to communicate your results clearly to others
- Ability to identify root cause and recommend corrective actions based on results from multiple data sources
- Collaborative attitude and ability to effectively work cross-functionally
- Ability to travel internationally without restriction
- M.S. or PhD in Materials Science Chemistry Physics Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering Chemical Engineering or an equivalent field
- 5 years of experience in an engineering role
- Familiarity with electrochemistry and battery technology
- Experience with statistical data analysis tools such as JMP or Weibull
- Experience with Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA) and reliability prediction modeling
- Familiarity with failure analysis and materials characterization techniques (microscopy spectroscopy etc.) and the ability to use these tools to determine the root cause of failures
