Nationwide IT Services is seeking a full-time Infrastructure Operations Manager for a potential opportunity to support the Department of Defense Office (DoD) Inspector General (OIG) and Information Technology Support Services (ITSS).
The DoD OIG mission is to detect and deter fraud waste and abuse in DoD programs and operations; promote the economy efficiency and effectiveness of the DoD; and help ensure ethical conduct throughout the DoD. The DoD OIG keeps the Secretary of Defense and Congress informed of fraud waste abuse and program deficiencies identified through its oversight work. The DoD OIGs administrative and criminal investigators auditors evaluators and support staff operate globally conducting investigations audits evaluations and mission support activities to accomplish the DoD OIGs mission.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee the operations of servers networks storage systems and other related technologies.
- Monitor system performance identifying and resolving issues and implementing measures to maximize uptime and efficiency.
- Implement and enforce security protocols to protect the organizations IT infrastructure from threats and vulnerabilities.
- Plan and execute hardware and software upgrades managing IT budgets and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Supervising IT support teams providing guidance and mentorship and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Contributing to the development and implementation of IT strategies that support the organizations overall goals.
Job Qualifications:
- Possess current Security Clearance of TS with SCI eligibility.
- Bachelors degree in computer science information systems business administration information technology or equivalent work experience. A masters degree in computer science information systems business administration or a related field is preferred.
- 10 years experience in the IT field.
- 5 years experience managing hybrid IT environments and technologies.
- 5 years experience with implementing on-premises and cloud infrastructure projects including servers networking storage and VoIP.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certificate.
