Job Description
Annapolis Valley Regional Centre for Education
Term Substitute Teacher
(the primary location for this position will be the Bridgetown Regional Community School Family of Schools)
100% effective September 3rd 2025 - January 30th 2026
0.50 Fte
Term
Terms and conditions of employment including wages are in accordance with the Nova Scotia Teachers Provincial Agreement
Posting Closes at Midnight August 29th 2025
Teachers are expected to:
- Provide quality instruction within the framework established by the Nova Scotia Department of Education and Early Childhood Development
- Implement strategies activities and techniques for promoting student learning based on each students prior knowledge skills and learning needs
- Demonstrate best practices in assessment to determine next steps
- Attend and actively engage in meetings and ongoing professional development
- Maintain and submit all records in online systems and other communication avenues
