Job Description

Antenna and RF Engineer

Job Summary:

  • You will be part of Business Line Advanced Chip Engineering building next-generation antenna and RF/mmW technologies for systems operating in X W and D bands and beyond.
  • Responsible for the development and evaluation of prototype solutions and for bringing them to maturity that enables products.
  • Member of a multidisciplinary team. Interfaces with other engineering teams across NXP on maturing the RF technologies. Gains exposure to the entire system development lifecycle.
  • Author of the design-specific documentation for internal and external use.

Job Qualifications:

  • Hands-on skills
    • Skilled in RF and mmW antenna design and prototyping
    • Fluent with Ansys HFSS
    • Fluent with RF measurement and test methodologies
  • Knowledge base
    • Antenna and RF hardware designs around 8GHz 60GHz 79GHz and 140GHz
    • Metamaterial principle and applications
    • Mm-Wave radar
    • Mm-wave transceiver IC architectures analog techniques
    • Electromagnetics and RF theory
    • IC packaging
  • Strong analytical skills and demonstrated research experience
  • Strong communications documentation and presentation skills
  • Highly self-motivated and enjoying solving difficult challenges
  • Must be a recent graduate with a PhD degree in Electrical Engineering Physics or related fields.
