- Carry out all duties/responsibilities in accordance with Company values policies and procedures applicable laws and contractual obligations.
- Serve as subject matter expert and resource to other staff.
- Audit other staffs files.
- Train staff as needed on variety of topic areas.
- Provide guidance to other staff on routine assignments.
- Is accessible to clients for supervision guidance and resources outside of scheduled meeting times.
- Detail and explain verbally to the client the clients program expectations and case plan to ensure that the client understands his/her requirements and responsibilities.
- Maintain complete accurate and timely case file both paper and electronic for each client on caseload.
- Assess all incoming clients (SOA-R) for individual criminal risks criminogenic needs and responsivity to various intervention strategies.
- Develop highly individualized supervision case plan for each client based upon established protocols and client needs.
- Schedule and meet individually with each client at least weekly to evaluate progress in accomplishing case plan and sentencing requirements.
- Administer rewards and sanctions according to established policies and procedure.
- Refer client to treatment providers if needed and their responsibilities for payment and participation in treatment.
- Monitor clients participation and progress in treatment including verification of attendance at least monthly.
- Develop an employment plan to include preparation for job search readiness including aptitude testing job referrals public transportation and phone access during business hours.
- Complete all written reports concerning clients in an accurate legible and timely manner. Prior to sending any reports to the courts or referral agency approval must be given by a supervisor.
- Assist each client in developing a budget plan monthly assist each client in adhering to developed budget plan monitor client account balances weekly and provide financial statement to client monthly.
- Monitor restitution payments in accordance with court requirements.
- Assist in case manager facilitated groups as required.
- Actively participate in client staffings.
- Perform assessments/reassessments as required.
- Report all program violations according to established Intervention policies.
- Refers clients to community resources as appropriate.
- Work with courts probation and other criminal justice agencies regarding client staffing/compliance.
- Monitor drug and alcohol tests as required.
- Pull and enter UA results as needed.
- Travel to the jail to meet with clients.
- Drive personal car to court jail and/or other sites as required including in adverse weather.
- Testify in court regarding clients.
- Attend required trainings and meetings; apply skills and knowledge.
- Regular and predictable attendance.
- May be required to cover at other offices.
- May participate in community/stakeholder meetings.
- Good steward of Company human financial and capital resources.
- Participate effectively as a team member through communication cooperation information sharing and problem solving.
- Any other tasks or duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- EDUCATION: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelors degree in criminal justice psychology social work counseling a social science or other closely related field.
- SUBSTITUTION FOR EDUCATION:Work experience in the areas of counseling social work law enforcement corrections or community supervision which provided the same kind amount and level of knowledge acquired in the required education will substitute on a year-for-year basis for the bachelors degree.
SKILLS- Demonstrated proficiency in general population case management
- Demonstrated experience in applying Motivational Interviewing skills and techniques
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writingwith a variety of constituents
- Ability to complete assessments and develop case plans
- Ability to enter data generate reports and createcommunications from variety ofsoftware programs and databases
- Ability to remain calm in stressful situations
- Knowledge of the cultural and socioeconomic characteristics and appropriate techniques and practices for the client population.
- Ability to interact effectively as a team member and independently with Companystaff stakeholdersandwithdiverse client base.
- Must pass background checkandbe grantedaccesstostate criminaldatabases
