Your Area of Responsibility
As Head of Quality Management you are responsible for steering and further developing all quality-related processes at our Gilching this key position you will work closely with the international corporate structure (Coherent Corp. USA) and make a significant contribution to operational excellence.
- Leadership & Development: You lead the Quality Management department and report directly to the Director of Operations. Supporting the professional development of your employees in line with our corporate values is a central concern for you.
- Corporate Quality Interface: You work closely with the Corporate Quality Team of our parent company and represent the site in global quality matters.
- KPI Management: You are responsible for our performance indicator framework and continuously develop it further.
- Quality Improvement: You drive continuous improvement processes and support other departments methodically in ensuring sustainable quality.
- Audit and Complaint Management: You coordinate internal and external audits initiate corrective actions for complaints and error reports and oversee their implementation.
Your Profile
- Completed technical degree or strong technical background with extensive practical experience
- Several years of professional experience in an industrial technology-driven environment (ideally in mechanical engineering or laser technology)
- Leadership experience ideally within a matrix organization
- Practical experience in operational quality management and QM systems (e.g. ISO 9001 and beyond)
- Proficient in ERP/PDM systems ideally also CAQ applications
- Confident in using common QM tools (e.g. 8D FMEA)
- Strong communication skills solution-oriented and pragmatic in execution
- Excellent German and English skills both written and spoken
