Job Type: Permanent
Location: TCS GDC Letterkenny Ireland Hybrid (3 days in office pw)

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced GCP Data Engineer to join our growing data team. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in designing developing and maintaining our data pipelines data warehouses and data lakes on Google Cloud Platform. You will work closely with data scientists analysts and other stakeholders to ensure data availability quality and performance for various business needs..

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced GCP Data Engineer to join our growing data team. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in designing developing and maintaining our data pipelines data warehouses and data lakes on Google Cloud Platform. You will work closely with data scientists analysts and other stakeholders to ensure data availability quality and performance for various business needs..
Key responsibilities:
- Design implement and optimize scalable reliable and secure data architectures on GCP including data lakes data warehouses and streaming solutions.
- Develop and maintain data models for optimal storage retrieval and analysis.
- Build maintain and troubleshoot robust ETL/ELT pipelines using GCP services (e.g. Dataflow Pub/Sub Cloud Functions Cloud Composer/Apache Airflow) to ingest transform and load data from various sources (relational databases APIs streaming data flat files).
- Implement real-time and batch data processing solutions.
- Proficiently utilize core GCP data services such as Big Query Cloud Storage Dataflow Pub/Sub Cloud Composer Cloud SQL Bigtable and Dataproc.
- Participate in code reviews design discussions and knowledge sharing sessions.
- Identify and resolve data-related issues including data quality problems pipeline failures and performance bottlenecks.
Key skills/knowledge/experience:
- Proven previous experience in similar role
- Strong proficiency in SQL for data querying manipulation and optimization.
- Expertise in at least one programming language preferably Python for data manipulation scripting and automation.
