INTERNATIONAL OPERATIONS ASSOCIATE


Position Title: International Operations Associate

Department: Launch Global International

Reports to: Field Office Supervisor

This position is: Full-time; Non-exempt


The work of the LG Field Office (LGFO) can be best understood in three primary categories: Support Operations and Crisis Management. The LGFO serves LG International (LGI) staff in each of these three categories as goers serving goers. Field Office Associates report to the Field Office Supervisor and serve according to the needs of LGI and giftings of the FO Associate. Through problem solving and creative thinking FO Associates help create maintain and upgrade organizational systems and structures that support LGI teams. FO Associates often work collaboratively with staff and departments located across the globe.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities


  • Support
    • Planning events that are life giving and edifying to LGI staff
    • Maintaining the Guest Houses to be a welcoming space for staff to recharge
    • Staying up to date with LGI staff members ministries and life events
    • Offering blessing and encouragement to LGI staff when helpful
    • Communicating prayer needs with the organization on LGI staffs behalf
    • Working with our Care Team to maintain care rhythms and policies for staff members and TCKs
    • Praying for LGI staff their families and their ministries
  • Operations
    • Assisting HR in researching and selecting insurance and benefits for LGI staff
    • Assisting HR in managing and upgrading the Hiring & Onboarding Processes
    • Assisting Communications Team by advising or creating international mobilization content
    • Helping create internal processes tools and policies that serve the unique needs of LGI staff
    • Communicating regularly with LG support departments to maintain healthy connection and clarity
    • Managing the LGFO office space including general operation maintenance and improvements
  • Crisis Management *Participation in crisis management will depend on FO staff members capacity training and giftings.
    • Participating in Crisis Management Teams (CMT) on a case-by-case basis
    • Contributing improvements to organizational crisis plans and policies
    • Visiting LGI staff on-location as part of a crisis response when necessary
    • Assisting staff in developing and keeping current crisis contingency plans for their teams
    • Keeping up to date with trainings and best practices to assist staff in times of crisis
    • Creating policies to assist LGI staff with legal compliance in their host countries
    • Monitoring places staff are working to be able to sufficiently serve them in the event of a crisis
  • Reporting and Communication
    • Attending and participating in weekly FO team meetings
    • Collaborating with other members of the Field Office team
    • Communicating with LGI staff regarding projects and policies that pertain to them
    • Collaborating with other LG support department staff on a project basis
  • Professional Development
    • Creating a Personal Development Plan (PDP) each year with assistance from your supervisor
    • Actively learning best practices from similar operations teams of other mission organizations
  • Language and Culture
    • Learning Thai language for at least one year before starting Field Office work
    • Being an ongoing learner of Thai language and culture
  • Health
    • Maintain qualifications for your role through healthy relationships with God yourself your family your team your leaders and your neighbors
