Join us as our new Laboratory Technician in Planetary Health
Are you passionate about laboratory work and eager to make a difference in the field of Animal and Plant We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to join our dynamic team for a 12-month maternity cover position. From October 1st 2025 to September 30th 2026 you will apply your expertise to impactful global challenges and collaborate with passionate colleagues to deliver both standard and customized laboratory services to customers worldwide.

You will join a collaborative team composed of scientists and laboratory technicians who work closely together to deliver high-quality scientific support to our customers. In this role youll make an impact by:
Plan and execute laboratory experiments in an autonomous way according to priorities and agreed timeline with high quality level and by following SOPs
Analyze the data synthetize and report results (written and/or oral communication) to internal stakeholders in an autonomous way with recommendations and conclusions
Identify opportunities for process optimization efficiency enhancements and quality improvement within laboratory activities driving changes as needed
Enforce laboratory safety protocols and ensure compliance with relevant regulations standards and guidelines to create a safe working environment for all laboratory personnel
Ensure maintenance calibration and safety check of equipment to ensure a good working order
To succeed you must hold:
Laboratory technician degree (laborantuddannelsen)
3 years experience in the field of microbiology/bacteria with knowledge of biosafety levels 2 proper waste handling and sterilization sample labeling storage and tracking
Expertise in microbiology (media and sample preparation bacterial culturing and enumeration techniques including work with pathogenic bacteria) and molecular biology (DNA extraction PCR/qPCR)
Analytical and critical thinking skills to address customer challenges with a problem-solving mindset
High quality standard when preparing samples recording data and operating in the laboratory ensuring SOP compliance and data traceability
Work closely with peers scientists product and portfolio managers and sales organization to ensure task alignment and success
Fluent in English (oral written spoken)
