Job Purpose
The Shipper / Receiver will perform general physical activities in order to load unload sort and move Calstone product and shipments by hand or using material handling equipment.
Manage verification acceptance counting and paperwork of all incoming and outgoing goods and their condition.
Duties and Responsibilities
Ship or receive all parts product and materials as required.
Update status of inbound and outbound orders and submit paperwork.
Coordinate packing and shipping of all goods and weighing them.
Report discrepancies between orders and goods such as delays condition weight
quality and quantity etc.
Stage loading and unloading areas with appropriate equipment materials and space.
Perform general housekeeping tasks within the shipping & receiving area and cleaning of equipment.
Operate a forklift truck hand truck or other equipment to load unload transport and store goods in a safe and organized manner.
Read production schedule customer order work order shipping order or requisition to
determine items to be moved gathered or distributed.
Sort and place materials or items on racks or shelves or in bins according to predetermined
sequence such as size type style colour or product code.
Mark materials with identifying information (label).
Perform general duties and assist production team as required.
Complete daily safety check log for material handling equipment.
Report on issues malfunctions or defects to Logistics Supervisor.
Reports any observed or potential hazards immediately.
Wear the proper PPE where required.
Helps with other functional areas/departments as the need arises or as assigned.
Follow Calstone Inc. Policies and Procedures.
Adherence to attendance policy (regular attendance)
Train co-workers as assigned.
All other duties as may be assigned
