Construction Site Manager
Jersey city NJ On-Site
Salary: $140K $150K DOE
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Construction Site Manager to oversee large-scale construction projects from start to finish. This is a hands-on on-site leadership role responsible for managing subcontractors vendors and day-to-day field operations to ensure projects are delivered on time within budget and at the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and manage all on-site construction activities from groundbreaking through completion
Oversee subcontractors trades and vendors to ensure work quality and adherence to timelines
Coordinate inspections permits and compliance with local authorities and government agencies
Collaborate closely with Project Managers and stakeholders to ensure smooth communication and reporting
Monitor and enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA and site-specific regulations
Review and interpret construction drawings specifications and contracts
Identify potential issues early and implement proactive solutions to keep projects on track
Track project schedules materials labor and costs to maintain deadlines and budgets
Requirements
5 years of on-site construction management experience
Strong background in ground-up construction
Proven track record working for a general contractor
Experience coordinating with government agencies and regulatory authorities
Ability to read and interpret blueprints specifications and contracts
Excellent leadership decision-making and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and team management abilities
