ESTATES OFFICE

PROJECT MANAGEMENT AND DEVELOPMENT PLANNING SECTION

Senior Officer / Architectural Assistant ()

The University is seeking dynamic and focused professionals in the built environment to join the Estates Office.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Project Management and Development Planning Section by carrying out project anddesign management duties for the implementation of the Universitys capital projects and/or renovation projects;
  • Liaise with end-user departments to understand their spatial needs for project delivery;
  • Liaise with end-user departments consultants and other outside bodies on matters relating to project execution and campus planning and development;
  • Coordinate with different functional teams of the Estates Office and internal departments regarding project related issues;
  • Carry out space planning and feasibility studies for development and alteration;
  • Take part inproduction of working drawings specifications tender documents and other project-control documents for in-house campus projects;
  • Assist the Project Management and Development Planning Section with project management duties including coordination with consultants contractors and suppliers for execution of works contracts for the University; and
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Requirements:

  • A recognised professional degree inArchitecture or related disciplines with two to four years of relevant work experience;
  • A full member of HKIA or equivalent will be an advantage;
  • Strong communication skills in both written and spoken English and Chinese;
  • The ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic and changing environment with a service-orientated mindset and positive manner to communicate with others;
  • Proficiency in computer applications for design presentations including AutoCAD Photoshop and SketchUp; with knowledge in Revit being an advantage; and
  • Creative pleasant service-orientated responsible self-motivated and able to work collaboratively and independently.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.

The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of two years. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to performance review mutual agreement and availability of funding.

Salary will be commensurate with professional qualifications and experience.
