Smart Freight Centre (SFC) is a global non-profit organization dedicated to climate action in the freight sector. We aim to reduce logistics greenhouse gas emissions through transparent international freight emissions tracking. We collaborate with multinational companies forwarders carriers NGOs and governments to set industry standards and tackle business challenges. Our goal is to cut GHG emissions by 1 billion tonnes by 2030 and achieve zero emissions by 2050 or sooner.

About the Position:
As the Project Manager of SFBA you will lead and manage initiatives within the Sustainable Freight Buyers Alliance. This position involves taking ownership of various projects overseeing their execution and ensuring their success. It requires high degrees of flexibility and agility and is highly customer-centric. Reporting directly to the Program Manager SFBA you will work together to drive sustainability in the freight industry.

SFBA is our action platform at Smart Freight Centre and one of our key initiatives. It helps freight buyers move towards zero-emissions logistics across all transport modes. We encourage members to collaborate on decarbonization projects improve their freight procurement practices engage with innovators push for policy changes and build strong partnerships.

Your key responsibilities:
Manage implementation of SFBA initiatives ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
Identify and nurture stakeholder relationships with multinational corporations and partners involved in SFBA initiatives forging new partnerships and leveraging your strong communication and negotiation skills.
Oversee and design the development and execution of project plans ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budgetary constraints.
Provide strategic guidance and direction to the SFBA team fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify opportunities for growth and expansion within SFBA.
Prepare comprehensive project reports and presentations for funders stakeholders and external partners showcasing the impact and success of SFBA initiatives.
We are looking for someone who is:
Innovative and adaptable with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
Experienced in logistics and freight with a keen understanding of industry decarbonization challenges and opportunities.
An experienced project manager with a track record of success in leading complex initiatives and driving meaningful change.
A strong communicator with excellent stakeholder management skills capable of building and maintaining relationships at all levels.
Detail-oriented and organized able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
Passionate about sustainability and committed to making a positive impact in the freight industry.
Fluent in English with proficiency in additional languages considered a plus.
