Job Description
- Technical Liaison: Bridge communication between Apple Design and suppliers.- NPI Input: Provide early and ongoing manufacturing feedback to Apple Design.- Supplier Assessment: Evaluate and select manufacturing partners based on technical capabilities.- Process Development: Define and optimize manufacturing and test processes.- Quality Assurance: Develop and implement quality control measures.- Risk Management: Identify mitigate and resolve technical risks.- Issue Resolution: Lead troubleshooting of complex technical problems.- Collaboration: Partner with Engineering and Operations teams.
- Bachelor degree in Mechanical Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering or related major.
- Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience in design / manufacturing process development.
- Proficient in both written and oral English can use it as a working language.
- Expertise in accessory design and manufacturing with emphasis in at least two of these categories:
- - Assemble core technology (Gluing/Soldering/Welding and so on).
- - Soft-good assemble process
- - Over-molding insert molding injection molding processes.
- - Hands-on experience and technical knowledge in fixture design and various production processes such as CNC (milling lathing) surface finishing (polishing blasting lapping anodization) coating (ink paint)
- - Mechanical or electrical testing including fixtures involved: Flex Pull Bending.
- Proven track record of managing a cross-functional team in order to achieve new product objectives inclusive of quality yield and cost.
- Skilled in communicating sophisticated analytics making data-driven insights accessible and actionable.
- Design or development experience along with operations experience.
- Proven bottom line project management experience (Planning Cost & Delivery).
