Job Responsibilities:
Reporting in to the Customer Solutions Centre (CSC) Manager this senior level position will oversee a team of application specialists ensuring the successful development and implementation of customer applications primary for the companys Product platforms as well as Food and Beverages (F&B) Solutions. The ideal candidate will have over 15 years of experience including significant time with consumer products companies.
- Lead and manage a team of Application Specialists to select or develop tailored applications for customers predominantly driven by Product Platforms and when needed for Food & Beverage Solutions.
- Collaborate with the Ingredients Excellence Centre (IEC) Platforms and the Solutions Lead in specific areas to leverage their expertise.
- Work closely with the Product Platform sales team to understand the customer requirements. The Application Lead secures an efficient business delivery through effective resource and capability allocation.
- Utilize Application Specialists to test existing recipes in the CSC and present prototypes to customers at innovation session at site or in the CSC.
- Ensure all activities comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all processes results and findings.
- Provide technical support and expertise to internal and external stakeholders.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in food ingredients and product development.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.
- Manage project timelines budgets and resources effectively.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide mentorship and development opportunities for team members.
Job Requirements:
- Masters or bachelors degree in food science and technology Chemistry or a related field.
- 15 to 20 years of experience in the food industry particularly in R&D product development and related areas with proven experience in a management role.
- Applicants with strong experience in the cocoa processing and application experience in in key areas like chocolate & confectionary beverage or bakery will have a strong advantage.
- Strong knowledge of food ingredients product development and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent leadership communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in using lab equipment and software.
- Strong people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
- A team player with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
