As a Sales & Service Rep you will deliver quality service and insurance recommendations to current and prospective Markel customers. This is a combined service and sales role with the expectation that sales vs. service responsibilities will be split based on business needs. Markel Corporation (NYSE MKL) a global insurance holding company is adding to the Customer Service team to better service Markel customers! Were currently seeking a Customer Service Representative (CSRs) who would like to increase their insurance knowledge and build their skills while making a positive impact on Markels customers. We provide exceptional customer service through our simple processes honest communications and employee expertise.
Responsibilities include:
- Work diligently to find resolution to customer concerns and escalate to appropriate level when necessary.
- Convey information efficiently effectively and appropriately to meet the needs of the customer.
- Strive for first call resolution to provide best in class service.
- CSRs are required to stay current and knowledgeable of all procedures to ensure department standards and guidelines are meet which include Schedule Adherence Quality Assurance First Contact Resolution Average Talk Time Average Handle Time Average Speed of Answer and Coding
Qualifications/Skill sets:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
- Dedicated to providing a positive customer experience.
- Communicate clearly and professionally over the phone.
- Strong technical background/ability to multi-task in several systems at once
- Willingness to learn new material and systems/applications.
- Accountable and reliable
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; some college is a plus!
Property/Casualty Insurance License required
2 or more years of insurance sales/service experience required
Demonstrated job stability and attendance records
Remote working experience a plus
Solid computer grammar and multi-tasking skills
Compensation: Starting pay ranges from $22.00/hour - $25.00/hour based on the candidates experience education. Hours of M-F and some weekends and holidays
*In addition to regular hourly pay there is an annual Performance Bonus Potential.

Must have Property & Casualty license to work remote outside of Markel office locations. Markel locations are Pewaukee WI. Omaha NE. Glen Allen VA. Henderson NV. If located near Markel office location Hybrid work schedule is required.
