Job Description

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for proper maintenance and inventories of all institutional weapons security equipment and radios.
  • Proper security control and accountability of all keys and locks in the armory and institution.
  • Maintain the armory in accordance with applicable agency policies and procedures.
  • Maintain up-to-date files indicating which firearms chemical munitions and security equipment have been assigned to specific security posts and/or correctional employees.
  • This position is for the Armory Sergeant.
Must successfully complete eight (8) week SCDC Basic Training upon hire.
