The Department Head reports to the Dean of Nursing and is assigned to teach courses in his/her field of expertise. The Department Head is responsible for assisting with the development and implementation of curriculum evaluating personnel and maintaining the educational integrity of the program within his/her academic purview.
This position requires amasters of science in nursing. Candidates must also have a current SC RN license teaching experience in an associate degree program and a minimum of three (3) years of progressively related experience.
Preferred candidate will have a masters degree in nursing education. Ideal candidate will have related management experience hiring training and supervising adjunct faculty as well as supporting the dean with scheduling budgeting advisory committee participation and curriculum development. Applicants must demonstrate significant experience implementing nursing curricula using TTC procedures leading divisional improvement initiatives and developing evidence-based projects. Candidates will have the ability to operate effectively in a dynamic information technology environment. This position demands accountability creativity and professional discipline for independent work. Strong customer service and interpersonal skills are essential for success.
