Product Coordination Team
Product Team comprises of 8 Employees including the team manager. Team
plays an important role in feeding the global headquarter with information that helps defining the direction of the product portfolio. This role involves market analysis forecasting cross-functional collaboration and roadmap feedback to support that products designed in Japan meet European customer needs align with business goals and maintain competitive advantage.
Conduct market research competitive analysis and customer insights to support Japanese development teams with product decisions.
Arrange product testing to gain key market feedback.
Translate product roadmaps into market introductions together with Sales & Marketing.
Present product plans and updates to key stakeholders (e.g. bicycle producers)
Manage co-development projects with technology partners.
Quality & Compliance Team
Quality & Compliance Team comprises of 5 Employees including the team manager. Team ensures that all products (Shimano PRO & Bike fitting) meet applicable regulatory safety and quality standards across responsible markets. This role involves close collaboration with the factory in Japan for product development and planning and in Europe the legal and supply chain teams to proactively manage compliance risks and ensure smooth market access.
Ensure products comply with relevant international national and local regulations (e.g. technical standards like ISO EN but as well the regulations issued by the European Union)
Manage and maintain technical files declarations of conformity and other compliance documentation.
Collaborate with R&D legal and operations teams to integrate compliance requirements in different business units worldwide but especially the headquarter in Japan.
Identify and mitigate compliance risks throughout the product lifecycle.
Lead internal and external audits related to product compliance and support corrective actions.
Leads the definition of Quality testing procedures for products produced under European control (PRO & Bikefitting)
Proactively monitors regulatory changes and emerging standards to ensure ongoing and future compliance.
Provide training and guidance to internal teams on compliance requirements and best practices.
Act as liaison to external parties (e.g. norming groups).
Academic thinking level Master.
5-8 years management experience.
Experience with product compliance procedures.
English written and verbal communication skills.
International working environment experience with Japanese counterparts would be preferred.
Strong communicator that inspires trust & motivates action.
Technical & commercial sensitivity.
Manages complexity & ambiguity.
Can manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Passion about Bike and its products is a nice to have.
