Job Description

Are you a good service technician or competent apprentice thats sick of dealing with large aging office buildings and want a change to working in residential homes. We are seeking an HVAC Service Technician to join our growing team to help us with mainly residential servicing and repairs along with some installation work (if wanted) as well.

We pride ourselves on providing an excellent service and want to ensure we continue to exceed our customers expectations. Candidates will ideally have the following qualifications and experience:

National Certificate in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Level 4 or similar (or at least 2 years of apprenticeship completed)

EST Qualification

Full NZ Drivers license

Reliable well presented and has good customer service skills

Keen eye for detail and ability to accurately diagnose problems and provide solutions

Responsibilities:

Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctions or performance issues with heat pump systems. Perform repairs and replacements of faulty components or systems.

Interact with clients in a professional and courteous manner addressing their concerns and providing clear explanations of maintenance procedures and recommended repairs.

Educate clients on best practices for operating and maintaining their heat pump systems to maximize efficiency and minimize energy costs.

Maintain accurate records of service calls including work performed parts used and recommendations for future maintenance.

Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.

Stay updated on industry trends regulations and best practices related to heat pump maintenance and HVAC technology.

Ensure compliance with environmental regulations regarding refrigerant handling and disposal.

Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients and colleagues.

Attention to detail and the ability to work independently without supervision.
