Job Description
JOB TITLE: Fleet Manager
JOB LOCATION:Lagos Mainland Lagos
JOB DETAILS:
ADVERTISEMENT
- The Fleet Manager will be responsible for managing a diverse fleet of vehicles ensuring optimal performance minimizing downtime and maximizing the cost-effectiveness of our fleet operations.
- You will lead the planning scheduling and execution of fleet maintenance repairs and compliance with regulatory standards all while ensuring safety and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the fleet including vehicle procurement maintenance and disposal.
- Develop and implement fleet management strategies to ensure efficiency safety and cost-effectiveness.
- Schedule regular vehicle maintenance including inspections repairs and servicing to minimize downtime.
- Monitor and manage fleet performance ensuring all vehicles are roadworthy and meet regulatory compliance standards.
- Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers maintenance providers and insurance companies.
- Track and report on fleet performance metrics including fuel efficiency vehicle utilization and maintenance costs.
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance insurance and licensing for all fleet vehicles.
- Ensure that all fleet vehicles comply with local state and federal regulations including environmental and safety standards.
- Implement and oversee driver safety programs including training compliance and risk management.
- Manage the fleet budget including forecasting costs for repairs replacements and operational expenses.
- Liaise with other departments to ensure fleet availability meets business needs.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in fleet management or a similar role preferably in a large organization or company.
- Strong knowledge of fleet operations vehicle maintenance and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency with fleet management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to analyze and report on fleet performance data.
- Experience in managing a large and diverse fleet (e.g. bikes vehicles trucks)
- Experience with GPS tracking systems and telematics.
Salary
N250000 N300000 Monthly.
