Overview:
The purpose of the Product Line Management function is to proactively seek insights in and understanding of customers business strategies objectives and organizational development needs and its effect on their communication needs to help the Products & Solutions organization develop long term product strategies.
The PLM for Devices is responsible for the above mentioned areas of responsibilities when it comes to Devices Accessories to support Mitel Call Managers across all market segments and the Open SIP market. He shall drive the development of the devices portfolio to meet on premise hybrid cloud deployment and Open SIP requirements.
Responsibilities:
The main responsibilities as Product Line Manager for Devices are:
Participate in development of Strategic Plan and Annual Operating Plan.
Assist PLM staff with product life cycle decisions.
Owner of the Devices roadmap process for all products under their purview - define product strategy & roadmap as well as life cycle plan. Define solution scope and prioritize requirements and initiate studies.
Responsible for Business Case the price structure and suggested list prices for products.
Approve licensing strategies and pricing levels globally to ensure that the product is sellable and installable by current partner structure and SSPs.
Work with the global pricing team commercial operations Product Data Management and the sales tools development team to ensure the products are correctly implemented in the corporate ERP databases and pricing tools.
Make competitive analysis and identify key selling points SWOT analysis and synergies with other Products and R&Ds.
Support Pre-sales teams to answer product questions from sales partners and customers.
Interface and requirement release sync with other PLMs and R&D leads.
Requirements:
Education: Advanced or masters degree from an accredited college/university preferably in Business Administration Engineering or other related field.
Language: fluent in English (writing/speaking).
Experience:
10 years of applicable professional experience.
5 years broad and deep work experience from similar tasks including working with external interfaces (partners vendors customers) in a multinational company.
A good overall understanding of R&D processes and the role of Product management.
Documented experience of related market and customers activities and able to connect customer/market needs with technical requirement and solutions.
Additional Skills (Advantageous):
Deep skills on working with business case sales tools and license models.
Deep knowledge of working with all phases in the product life cycle from requirement handling to project lifecycle to commercial life and phase out.
High communication and presentations skills including clear articulate and well organized oral and written communication skills.
Deep understanding of the business models for On-Premise Hybrid Cloud and SSP sales of devices portfolios.
Knowledge of Communication & Surrounding Technologies.
Strong analytical skills with structured and logical approach to finding solutions.
Strong follow through for committed actions.
Strong team building skills.
