Job Description

REPORTS TO: Client and Business Services Supervisor
LOCATION: Initial Placement - Brant Sports Complex

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Post-secondary education in Office Administration Business Administration Recreation or a related field
  • 2 years of experience in customer service or office administration
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word Excel Outlook)
  • Experience working with Recreation Software (bookings registrations memberships)
  • Skilled in cash handling and Point of Sale (POS) systems
  • Strong customer service communication and organizational skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced team-oriented environment
  • Flexible availability including daytime evening and occasional weekend hours
  • Current Emergency First Aid CPR and AED certification (or ability to obtain within 60 days)
  • Valid Class G Drivers License with acceptable driving record
  • Acceptable Police Records Check
Assets:
  • Experience working in a municipal recreation setting
  • Understanding of sport organization and community group programming and facility requirements
  • Experience with Active Net Recreation Software System.
Duties:
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to internal and external clients of the County of Brant and the Community Services Department.
  • Coordinate seasonal rental contracts with minor sports and community organizations working closely to support their ongoing facility rental needs
  • Book Special Occasion Permits review and process payments perform contract amendments program change/addition request etc.
  • Issue dog park memberships dog tags tennis memberships and process related payments and documentation.
  • Schedule and conduct facility tours for prospective renters.
  • Communicate effectively with facility operations staff to coordinate rentals and setup requirements.
  • Address customer inquiries complaints scheduling conflicts and terms of use professionally.
  • Handle cash transactions facility rental payments prepare daily balance reports and complete bank deposits in the absence of the Recreation Systems Specialist.
  • Maintain and organize comprehensive records for the division ensuring accuracy accessibility and compliance with retention schedules
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies procedures and relevant legislation for facility use.
  • Process and distribute online and in-person membership purchases.
  • Input permits for drop-in recreation programs ensuring proper facility booking.
  • Serve as the main contact at the Brant Sports Complex managing calls walk-ins and internal communications.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Annual Salary Range: Salary Grade 3 ($60169 - $70379) 35 hours per week
Hours of Work: 8:30 am 4:30 pm (potential evening/weekend work may be required on occasion)
