Job Description

** COMMUNICATION REGARDING TEST INFORMATION WILL BE SENT VIA EMAIL **

PURPOSE AND NATURE OF WORK

Positions in this class perform technical work on electrical/network engineering projects. Incumbents assist network engineers in the maintenance of computer network infrastructure. Work involves planning and installing network upgrades; troubleshooting computer hardware software and network equipment; and generating and preparing specifications for computer equipment. Provides software support installs upgrades and assists users with Office related products. Installs maintains troubleshoots PCs printers faxes copiers and other peripherals; handles upgrades.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS

Twelve to eighteen months education and formal training beyond high school specific to the individual position and prior work experience in network engineering desired.

TYPE OF EXAMINATION - Examination will be a multiple-choice test.
