The ACDP EAST District Manager position reports directly to the Alcoholism and Chemical Dependency Programs (ACDP) Section Chief. It is responsible for the overall operation of ACDP prison-based substance use disorder programs and staff within the district. This position directly manages Substance Abuse Program Managers/Clinical Supervisors/Program Coordinators and others as assigned. This position is also responsible for the development monitoring and fidelity of clinical program content and approach specific to substance use disorder treatment at the community-based DART Center Substance Abuse Center in Goldsboro NC which provides rehabilitation and reentry services to male offenders on active probation parole or post-release. The District Manager East position is assigned to an ACDP Office within the district and extensive weekly/daily travel is required to district programs and DART Center.

The Alcoholism and Chemical Dependency Programs (ACDP)section promotes innovation rehabilitation and protection through the planning and implementation of substance use disorder screening treatment and reintegration services within the Department of Adult Correction.
ACDP identifies substance use disorder as a chronic condition that results from a combination of genetic psychosocial and environmental factors and can lead to addiction and/or fatal outcomes if left untreated. Programs are based on best practices and evidence-based principles from NIDA and SAMHSA.DAC uses the Merit-Based Recruitment and Selection Plan to fill positions subject to the State Human Resources Act with the most qualified individuals. Hiring salary will be based on relevant qualifications internal equity and budgetary considerations pertinent to the advertised position.
