The Opportunity:
At Truist were recruiting catalysts for care. Leaders with the energy and ideas to take us further faster as we deliver on our purpose. So we designed the Leadership Development Program (LDP) with that specific goal in mind.
As a part of this immersive program teammates dive headfirst into critical work as a cohort in their track and through cross-track opportunities. The LDP is a structured comprehensive program that incorporates technical and soft skill development with the focus on becoming Truist becoming a banker and becoming a leader.
The program interweaves the three dimensions of development:
Education: Cohort learning and development in different group settings and cross track educational activities that will broaden the interns understanding of Truist the financial services industry various lines of business and corporate function teams.
Exposure: Interaction with enterprise leaders throughout the program as well as exposure to a variety of lines of business industry specialists training experts and other Truist interns.
Experience: On the job training that may include working on financial reporting business case development financial modeling and other Finance strategic initiatives.
Analysts spend time in rotations to learn about the purpose of different teams risk management and strategic priorities while also strengthening technical skills needed for early career roles that support specific areas aligned to their track.
Along the way youll be in good company. Every aspect of our program is designed to help teammates connect learn from each other and experience the power of One Team. That way youll leave the program with a built-in network you can call at any time.
Upon graduation youll have an opportunity to secure placement based on business need preference and your performance.
How it Works:
As an applicant youll select from one of four rotational tracks based on your background interests and career goals. The four unique tracks within the Leadership Development Program are: Enterprise Finance Technology and Innovation and Credit.
This job posting is for the Finance track.
The Finance Track within the Leadership Development Program equips participants with the tools and expertise to thrive in diverse financial roles and contribute to Truists strategic financial success. Through structured classroom training and rotational experiences across the Financial Management organization participants gain exposure to a wide range of financial disciplines and build a strong foundation in both technical and analytical skills.
During the program participants may:
Rotate through teams such as Corporate Finance & Strategy Investor Relations Treasury and Accounting.
Learn and apply financial concepts in real-world settings including financial modeling business case development and strategic planning.
Contribute to internal and external financial reporting and analysis of key financial statements.
Engage in meaningful touchpoints with peers and leaders across the enterprise to foster collaboration and holistic thinking.
While this job posting is specific to the Finance Track of the LDP the program also offers three additional tracks which have separate job postings:
Credit Track: The Credit Track provides a deeper dive into the understanding of core principles of credit financial & credit analysis commercial lending credit risk management underwriting relationship management and more.
Enterprise Track: Through the Enterprise Track teammates will be exposed to many different areas of the organization including but not limited to: work related to human resources marketing finance strategy operations and more.
Technology and Innovation Track: The Technology and Innovation Track gives its participants the opportunity to leverage their technical skills by creating business solutions and working on innovative assignments including within Software Delivery Infrastructure Security and Innovation and Design teams.

The following is a summary of the essential functions for this job and what you can expect as a participant. Other duties may be performed both major and minor which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.
Complete all prescribed training satisfactorily prior to the end of the program into appropriate center assignment.
Complete any additional training as recommended by the manager either during or after the program.
Participate in business rotations working on projects and other business-as-usual activities that allow for the practical application of concepts and behaviors referenced in training and demonstrate results in line with rotational managers expectations.
Perform special projects or assignments outside of the formalized training program as may be assigned.

Ability to relocate for the program and locations throughout the Truist footprint upon program completion. Individuals hired into the Enterprise or Finance tracks will be located in Charlotte NC and in the Credit and Technology & Innovation tracks will be located in Charlotte or Atlanta for the duration of the program.
Finance Track
Required:
Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Economics or a related field.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial data and trends.
General understanding of the financial services industry and its core functions.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools; familiarity with Excel is a plus.
Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate in team environments.
Preferred:
Completion of a Summer Internship with Truist in Credit FSE or TIP.
Internship or academic project experience related to finance or business analysis.
Completion of three or more credit hours in accounting.
Masters degree in a relevant field.
Enterprise/Credit Track:
Business-related concentrations/degree along with accounting and/or finance coursework are desired.
Technology & Innovation Track:
Technical Majors preferred: Computer Science Engineering Cybersecurity Innovation Graphic Design Interaction Design User Experience Industrial Design Architecture Human Factors Human-Computer Interaction or related field etc.)
Knowledge of programming language and technical concepts (for example: proficiency in adobe creative suite of design tools JAVA Python CSS/HTML Azure AWS WCAG etc.)
Experience participating in technical and/or design projects.
