As a Data Centre & Cloud Operations you will be responsible for overseeing the design implementation and maintenance of the infrastructure that supports a companys data center operations. You will require a deep understanding of data center systems including hardware networking cooling power and security as well as leadership skills to manage teams optimize processes and ensure the facilitys operational efficiency.

What will you do

InfrastructureManagement:

• Overseethemanagementandmaintenanceofthephysicalandvirtualinfrastructureincludingserversstoragenetworkdevicesandpowerandcoolingsystems.
• Ensurethatthedatacenterinfrastructureissecurereliablescalableandmeetstheorganizationsbusinessandoperationalneeds.
• Planimplementandupgradeinfrastructuretoensureitmeetsperformanceandcapacityrequirements.

TeamLeadershipandCollaboration:

• LeadsuperviseandcoordinatewithotherdepartmentsincludingITnetworkoperationssecurityandfacilitiestoensuresmoothdatacenteroperations.
• Defineandenforceoperationalstandardsandbestpracticesfordatacenterstaff.

CapacityPlanningandOptimization:

• Monitordatacenterperformancecapacityandusagetoforecastfutureinfrastructureneedsandproactivelyaddresspotentialissues.
• Developandimplementstrategiesforoptimizingtheuseofdatacenterresourcesincludingspacepowercoolingandnetworkbandwidth.

ProjectManagement:

• Leadtheplanningandexecutionofvariousinfrastructureprojectsincludingdatacenterbuildsexpansionsandmigrations.
• Managetimelinesbudgetsandresourcestoensuresuccessfulprojectdelivery.
• Trackandreportprogressonkeymilestonesensuringprojectsstayonscheduleandwithinbudget.

SecurityandCompliance:

• Ensurethedatacentermeetsindustrystandardsandcomplieswithrelevantsecurityregulatoryandenvironmentalrequirements.
• Implementphysicalsecuritymeasuresandworkwithsecurityteamstoensuredataintegrityandaccesscontrol.
• Developdisasterrecoveryandbusinesscontinuityplansfordatacenteroperations.

TroubleshootingandIncidentManagement:

• Overseetroubleshootingeffortsandensurequickresolutionofanyinfrastructureissuesoroutages.
• Developandmaintainincidentresponseprocedurestominimizedowntimeandensurerecoveryobjectivesaremet.
• Maintainrootcauseanalysisandcontinuousimprovementprocessesforinfrastructureincidents.

CostManagement:

• Overseethebudgetfordatacenterinfrastructureidentifyingopportunitiesforcostreductionwhileensuringsystemperformanceandreliability.
• Negotiatecontractswithvendorsandmanagerelationshipswithserviceproviders.

DocumentationandReporting:

• Maintainup-to-datedocumentationforallinfrastructurecomponentsandprocesses.
• Generateandpresentreportsoninfrastructurehealthperformancemetricsandprojectstatustoseniorleadership.
• Ensureaccurateassettrackingandreportingforallinfrastructurecomponents.

HealthandSafety:

• Ensurethatthedatacentercomplieswithsafetyregulationsandthatallstaffaretrainedinsafetyprotocols.
• Ensurepropermaintenanceoffiresuppressionsystemsandenvironmentalmonitoringdevices.

TheIdealCandidateShouldPossess:
