Online Acquisition Manager China
Were looking for a skilled and strategic Online Acquisition Manager to lead our paid media efforts for Payoneers China Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy. This role is central to driving high-quality demand generation and fuelling self-registration customer acquisition across our key customer segments in China including eCommerce marketplace sellers DTC sellers and B2B exporters engaged in cross-border trade.
Youll be responsible for managing the entire digital acquisition funnel from top-of-funnel awareness to optimizing conversion for self-registration and onboarding. Your focus will be on scaling Payoneers presence across digital channels like Baidu Sougou Haosou WeChat Toutiao Douyin and regional ad platforms with a deep understanding of how to reach and engage Chinas digitally native business owners.
Success in this role will require a strong background in performance marketing and a hands-on approach to campaign planning execution and continuous optimization. Youll work closely with regional and global stakeholders across sales product marketing local marketing and analytics to ensure acquisition strategies are aligned with Payoneers broader growth goals. What youll do
- New Customer Acquisition Strategy:
- Develop and execute regional marketing strategies to drive new customer acquisition for Payoneers products and services across the region.
- Identify and assess high-value customer segments within the market including
- SMEs e-commerce businesses digital marketplaces.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align marketing strategies with Payoneers value propositions ensuring strong messaging across customer acquisition channels.
- Campaign Development & Execution:
- Lead the design execution and optimization of multi-channel marketing campaigns (including digital content paid media events and partnerships) focused on new customer acquisition.
- Oversee campaign budgets ensuring effective allocation and maximizing ROI.
- Develop and track KPIs and performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of campaigns and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Digital Marketing & Demand Generation:
- Driving the adoption of digital channels such as paid search social media display ads generating leads and new customer sign-ups.
- Leverage data and insights to optimize lead generation and nurturing processes across digital channels.
- Market Research & Competitive Analysis:
- Conduct deep market research to understand local customer behaviors challenges and needs across key market.
- Monitor and analyze competitor activities in the region to identify trends opportunities and threats.
- Regularly report on insights industry trends and competitive intelligence to help refine acquisition strategies.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with sales partnerships and customer success teams to align on growth initiatives ensuring a seamless customer journey from acquisition to onboarding.
- Partner with the product marketing team to ensure messaging and positioning resonate with new customers in the region
- Collaborate with the regional leadership team to define marketing objectives ensure alignment with overall business goals and ensure regional success.
Who you are
- 8 years of marketing experience with a strong focus on customer acquisition in the B2B or fintech sectors.
- Proven success in developing and executing marketing strategies that drive new customer acquisition.
- Experience managing end-to-end digital marketing campaigns from strategy to execution to analysis with a data-driven mindset.
- Experience in financial technology or payments space is preferred.
- Strong understanding of the China market dynamics with a focus on SMEs digital marketplaces and e-commerce businesses.
- Expertise in digital marketing channels (SEO SEM display advertising social media).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyse performance data and optimize campaigns to improve ROAS (Return on Ad Spend).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work cross1functionally in a global organization.
- Proven success in China-focused marketingexperience with Baidu Ads WeChat Ads
- Douyin/Toutiao etc.
- Prior experience at a digital agency or in-house at a fintech/payments company strongly preferred
- Experience with CRM systems and lead nurturing tools (e.g. HubSpot Marketo).
- Analytical mindset with strong proficiency in tools like Google Analytics (GA4) Tableau and local platforms analytics dashboards.
