Summary

Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) Coordinator/Facilitator

Childrens Justice Center of King County

The Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) Coordinator/Facilitator is a critical position within the Children Justice Center of King County (CJCKC) housed within the King County Prosecuting Attorneys Office (PAO). The MDT Coordinator/Facilitator provides enhanced coordination of cases with children within the CJCKC multidisciplinary team to ensure timely resolutions efficient communications and critical information sharing. The King County MDT which is comprised of many community partners including the CJCKC PAO law enforcement victim advocacy the Department of Children Youth and Families (DCYF) medical and mental health providers and others is a powerful victim-centered approach that brings together professionals and experts in the field to provide the best response possible. This position will lead King County MDTs to ensure the best outcomes for children who are victims and witnesses of crime while developing and strengthening relationships with the diverse community we serve. Join us in our mission to ensure safety for children healing for victims and justice for the community in cases of child sexual and physical abuse.

This is a grant funded position.Continuation of this position is subject to available grant funding.

Who May Apply:This position is open to all qualified applicants.

Work Schedule: 40 hours a week. Core business days are M-F 8:30AM 4:30PM. This position is exempt from the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not overtime eligible.
Telecommuting/in-person hybrid. The minimum number of in-person days are three days per week for the first six months.
Following that it will be two days per week subject to business needs.

Job Duties

MDT Meeting Coordination

Consultation for MDT partners

Community Outreach
  • Develop and implement a community outreach plan that identifies and builds relationships with community agencies schools and populations currently underserved by the CJCKC
  • Regularly meet with community partners to educate them about the CJCKC and the MDT model
  • Maintain quarterly updates to the MDT orientation manual
  • Provide MDT partners with orientation to the CJCKC and the MDT model
  • Provide one-time trainings as needed to community agencies on topics related to child abuse
  • Support the CJCKC team with the annual MDT Survey
  • Position requires strategic planning tracking cases reviewing relevant data to inform best practices for community outcomes maintaining a database and generating reports
Other Responsibilities
  • Participate in meetings committees and taskforces as needed
  • Actively participate in CJCKC sponsored trainings and events
  • Occasionally provide coverage for other CJCKC staff including MDT Facilitation and Coordination
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned and as business needs evolve and change
