The Posting Assistant supports the Cash Applications Department by processing payments maintaining posting logs assisting with daily departmental tasks and supporting month-end close processes. This role provides backup support for Lockbox functions helps with mail and deposit tasks and handles confidential banking and client information.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Process credit card payments MRANs and maintain the Missing EOB Log.
Provide backup support for Lockbox operations as needed.
Assist with mail sorting deposit log preparation and bank deposits.
Support month-end close processes.
Handle confidential banking and client information appropriately.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Professional communication skills both written and verbal.
Basic computer proficiency and comfort using office software.
Ability to follow procedures accurately and maintain confidentiality.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum of one (1) of entry-level experience in clerical work or healthcare preferred.
Prior experience handling payments posting or similar office/accounting tasks is required.
WORKING CONDITIONS
The role requires sitting or standing for extended periods and performing repetitive tasks such as data entry and document handling.
Occasional lifting of mail or other items up to 30 pounds may be required.
The role requires the use of standard office equipment including printers and scanners.
