We are looking for a Ship Broker Support & Analyst to join our this role you will assist brokers in ship negotiations provide market insights and manage data updates to support the Capesize desk. You will play a critical role in ensuring smooth operations and delivering timely reports to clients.
Roles & Responsibilities Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsibilities would include supporting brokers in negotiating and fixing of ships
Provide market updates and research for clients.
Updating all market information and gathering market intelligence
Following cargo negotiations closely within the Capesize desk
Detailed Day to Day task:
Able to update all market information such as Capesize fixtures across all routes which will need to be sent by Brokers to clients in the mornings
Support cape size Brokers on all clients updates through internal communication channel on a centralized data report
Updating and sending timely reports to all key clients of Capesize Brokers.
Ensuring internal data is kept relevant and updated timely
Assist cape Brokers in sending out cargo/tonnage blast to relevant client list
Follow up with Brokers on tonnage and cargoes list
Ability to add value to Capesize desk through initiatives and process management.
Job Requirements :
Articulate with good inter-personal skills.
Data and Information analytical skills
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Basic knowledge in SQL/Python/C# or any coding language will be advantageous
Possess strong communication skills and customer oriented.
Able to work independently
Self-motivated and driven
**Knowledge on international trade commodities and shipping is not necessary but will be advantageous.
