Awarua Whnau Services deliver a wide range of services to all groups within Murihiku. Primarily funded for Mori we are committed to delivering kaupapa Mori services that provides for whnau wellbeing by supporting their social health and educational needs in a focused safe and supportive way.
About the Role M te tnga
In this role you will work 37.5 hours per week and keep Mori whnau and communities especially kuia and koroua healthy and independent by developing and facilitating group exercise programmes in Waihpai and Motuphue completing individual health plans focusing on movement and nutrition supporting wellbeing events and support whnau to achieve their wellbeing goals. If you are passionate about hauora and wellbeing and keen to play an integral role in delivering positive health outcomes for Southlanders this may be the role for you.
About you He krero mu
This role would suit candidates who have a background in a health-related field personal training or similar backed by a relevant qualification. You will be self-motivated proactive organised and be able to demonstrate a high level of initiative. An enthusiastic individual you will be excited by opportunities to help others reach their potential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and Client Management systems is mandatory for this role. A full NZ drivers license is essential and it would be helpful if you were comfortable with matauranga mori concepts and practices.
