The opportunity
Working within the Supportive Care division reporting to the Cancer Support Services Manager you will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision and effective safe operation of the Peel Cancer Support Centre.
Based in Mandurah this position is part time 0.6 FTE.
What youll be doing:
Supporting the development and implementation of both the strategic and operational plan for the centre in line with the organisations purpose.
Evaluating and reporting on programs and centre activity.
Coordinating the Volunteer Transport Program the Wig Service and Complementary Therapy Program.
Ensuring policies and procedures are reviewed and updated for the centre and continuous improvements are supported.
In conjunction with the People and Culture team recruit train coordinate and support volunteers in your region.
About you
To be successful in this role you will need:
A tertiary qualification in business or a similar discipline
Demonstrated understanding of the support and information needs of people affected by cancer their carers and their families would be desirable
Significant experience in coordinating the delivery of human services or community centre coordination
Experience coordinating contractors personnel and visitors in a busy environment
High developed computer skills including previous experience with databases and Microsoft Suite
Highly organised with proven experience in juggling a wide range of demands and priorities
Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work autonomously
Experience working with volunteers
Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the values of Cancer Council WA
