Basic Function:
In this position lead a team of inventory control specialists to develop and execute to standard work processes and procedures; Leverage RHFS Business System to continuously improve standard work to optimize order flow performance; Hold team accountable with dashboards/Daily Management metrics resolve order flow problems and support business and operation objectives; Address cost and vendor delivery schedule risks with counter measures and corrective actions as necessary; Ensure customer requirements properly flow through system workflows; Refine working tools and leverage system performance to ensure efficient use of team members time by limiting administrative tasks to ensure an efficient work environment. Also vital is driving the Team to work cross-functionally to optimize KPI objectives attainment (OTD Stock outs Quality etc.). This position will include varying levels of project work and include participation in cross-functional teams and best practice teams within RHFS and SunSource with the goal of enhancing performance in delivering to our customers on time and error free.
Essential Responsibilities/Duties:
- Lead and Supervise Inventory Specialist daily activities as follows:
o Purchases and controls inventory of all products for Branch Offices.
o Checks stock and replenish as needed.
o Continually monitors (non-moving) items
o Accounts for and react quickly to all back orders and transfers while optimizing use of lead time.
o Reviews ROR (Recommended Order Reports) and makes decisions on orders and quantities.
o Line Buy Maintenance follow-up weekly.
o Continually follows strategic inventory plan watching and reacting to trends.
o Scrutinize transfer and purchase order variances.
o Reconcile Accounts Payable and Purchase Order reports checking for accuracy.
o Utilize various reports to ensure system purchase order data accuracy.
o Continually maintain relationship with Sales Department.
All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree Supply Chain (Preferred)
5 years related experience in a Supply Chain related field working for an industrial distributor or manufacturing environment (Preferred); Product/plastics industry knowledge a plus
Practical and applied knowledge of materials planning and operations management practices
Comprehensive PC Skills (Microsoft Office) including experience working with Enterprise Resource System
Strong leader communicator and morale builder
Ability to solve problems through analyticswith ability to prioritize and make decisions
Excellent communication interpersonal and listening skills
