Job Opportunity: Nurse Practitioner - Surgery - Cardiothoracic

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Nurse Practitioner specializing in cardiac or cardiovascular surgery. Our dedicated team is committed to providing world-class cardiothoracic care in a state-of-the-art facility focused on patient-centered practices.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide advanced clinical care for cardiothoracic surgery patients emphasizing compassionate patient-first care.
- Assist in cardiac surgeries including performing endoscopic vein harvesting and first assisting when needed.
- Manage ICU and cardiovascular surgical patient care including rounding and evaluating CVICU floor and clinic patients.
- Participate in two full-day clinics weekly with additional patient appointments as necessary.
- Rotate through operating room coverage Monday through Friday.
- Collaborate with surgeons physicians intensivists and other healthcare professionals in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Order interpret and evaluate laboratory and diagnostic tests.
- Develop and implement plans of care and follow-up strategies based on patient outcomes.
- Order medications and write prescriptions according to regulatory policies.
- Perform appropriate bedside procedures related to the patient population.
- Ensure timely high-quality documentation of all care delivered.
- Demonstrate expert clinical judgment and function independently under physician supervision.
- Stay updated with continuing medical education to meet state and national registry requirements.

Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Nursing from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program REQUIRED
- Nurse Practitioner Certification by ANCC or AANPCB REQUIRED
- Minimum 3 years of cardiac or cardiovascular surgery experience with ICU patient management REQUIRED
- Unrestricted Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) license to prescribe medications REQUIRED
- Full prescriptive authority in accordance with medical staff privileging REQUIRED
- Unrestricted medical staff membership with appropriate practice privileges REQUIRED
- BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross REQUIRED
- Eligible to provide reimbursable services and maintain provider status with Medicare and Medicaid REQUIRED
- No current or prior sanctions or exclusions from HHS/OIG or the GSA List of Excluded Individuals and Entities REQUIRED
License and Certification Requirements:
- Current COVID vaccination.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Unrestricted Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) license.
