Zillow is disrupting real-estate by empowering people to unlock lifes next chapter. The Industry Software team is building world class agent and professional experiences to digitize the For Sale and Purchase experiences for our Real Estate Industry customers.About the role
We are looking for a Senior Software Development Manager to manage teams working on systems and applications supporting our Industry users. We need an outstanding teammate with a real passion for ownership of complex systems and domains and the end-to-end implementation solutions.
You Will Get To:
Be responsible for the development of Industry web iOS and Android applications.
Lead and develop a team of engineers including hiring and career coaching.
Iterate quickly and shorten our development cycle accelerate development and maintain high quality of work.
Evangelize strategize and help develop the roadmap for Industry applications with stakeholder input.
Set the technical tone and vision for the team in terms of quality craftsmanship and performance.
Collaborate with business leadership analytics product management and other engineers to achieve your technical vision.
Contribute to the entire development lifecycle from concept to release.
Leverage cutting edge tools and technologies to build world class experiences
This role has been categorized as a teleworker position. Teleworkers do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and instead work from a physical location of their choice which must be identified to the Company. Employees may live in any part of Mexico but preferably in Mexico City as we would encourage attendance for occasional in-office events.
In addition to a competitive base salary and benefits this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience performance and location.
Who you are
Experience with Agile software development principles.
Familiarity with architecting building and scaling resilient backend services.
Experience with modern UI frameworks like React.
Experience supporting customer-facing services and handling critical issues.
Excellent cross-team collaboration and communication skills.
Ability to work as part of a team and interact effectively with others.
Demonstrated flexibility high energy and openness to new ideas/approaches.
Qualifications
BS in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent experience.
2 years experience leading developers and providing technical leadership.
5 years experience in software development in object-oriented languages like Swift Java/Kotlin or during the interview process.
