Job Description

Introduction

The Embedded SW Common and DUV department is responsible for the software of multiple machine types on multiple this department the Optical Column group creates maintains and supports software for multiple elements. We provide both drivers and middle level applications that enable other departments to actuate the machine and achieve production with high performance.

Your assignment

In ASML we have several testing tools that help the customers to calibrate diagnose and check the performance of their system. These tools have graphical user interfaces (GUI) that have been generated with the help of different frameworks throughout the years. Some of them are C-based others are python-based.

Internally we want to make sure to test our tools before they reach the customer. Testing GUI manually has proven a tedious and error prone process. We are looking for a flexible solution to automate the testing of the GUI of our tools.

The assignment consists out of the following challenges:

  • Investigate the landscape of GUI in our code base.

  • Investigate the recommended way of testing GUI in ASML

  • Implement the chosen solution in a real-life application in our codebase.

Your profile

To be a great match for this internship you:

  • Are a final-year bachelor student or a master student in Computer Engineering or a related field looking for a graduation or apprentice assignment.

  • Have experience with GUI and testing.

  • Have depending on the result of investigation experience with C and Python.

  • Are autonomous with an eagerness to learn and open to challenge and being challenged.

  • Have strong communication skills and are fluent in English (verbal and written).

This is a final-year bachelor student or a master student graduation or apprentice assignment for 3 to 6 months for 4 to 5 days per week (at least 3 days onsite). The start date of this internship is September 2025.

Other requirements you need to meet

  • You are enrolled at an educational institutefor the entire duration of the internship;

  • You are located in the Netherlands to perform your case you are currently living/studying outside of the Netherlands your CV/motivation letter includes the willingness to relocate;

  • If you are a non-EU citizen studying in the Netherlands your university is willing to sign the documents relevant for doing an internship (i.e. Nuffic agreement).

This position requires access to controlled technology as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. 730 et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
