The Cranbrook Child Protection Team is a close-knit group of seven dedicated child protection workers and one team leader serving Cranbrook Kimberley and Jaffray BC. Located in the largest MCFD office in the East Kootenays the team works in a shared space alongside other service areas fostering collaboration and inclusive support for children youth and families. The team values equity and belonging creating a workplace where diverse perspectives are respected and where staff support one another through frequent in-person consultation and teamwork.
The Role
This Child Protection Worker role is all about building meaningful relationships with children youth and families while making a real difference in their lives. As a public servant youll bring your unique perspective and professional judgment to a diverse and dynamic environment guided by policy and legislation. With a flexible hybrid work model and a fast-paced setting that encourages continuous learning this position offers the chance to grow be challenged and contribute to safer more inclusive communities.

About this Position:
This is a temporary opportunity until January 8 2027. This position may be extended or become permanent.
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to 2 days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.
An eligibility list may be established to fill future temporary and permanent vacancies.
