Job purpose:
The Senior logistics Supervisor can be coordinate all logistics operations including shipping receiving inventory management and logistics planning. Able to responsible for the supervision of the import and export process ensuring compliance with local and international laws as well as the distribution of materials and finished goods.
Job duties and responsibilities:
- Oversee the import and export process in compliance with local and international laws and regulations.
- Manage invoicing activities by editing customer invoices in the Sage X3 system.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders customs brokers and other external entities to ensure efficient and timely delivery of goods.
- Ensure customs clearance directly or via brokers is a smooth accomplishment.
- Supervise the distribution of materials and finished goods to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Manage inventory including tracking ordering and forecasting to ensure optimal stock levels.
- Implement and oversee security procedures to mitigate loss and damages.
- Develop and manage relationships with key suppliers and customers.
- Implement and optimize logistics processes and systems to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Provide regular updates to management regarding logistics performance metrics.
- Handle any logistics-related issues or discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
- Train mentor and develop logistics team members.
Qualifications Needed:
- Bachelors degree in Logistics Supply Chain Management Business Administration or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management.
- At least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Knowledge in Import & Export process.
- Able to communicate in English is must.
