We are seeking a talented individual to join our Asia Power team at Marsh. This role will be based in the Singapore office. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead and develop our regional power team working closely with clients and internal teams to deliver high-quality broking solutions and drive business growth.

We will count on you to:

  • Oversee preparation management implementation and achievement of business plans and goals.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and expand the dialogue with the client to discuss both current and emerging risks ensuring the client receives the best of what the Company has to offer.
  • Maximise team and account profitability through the implementation of efficient and effective work practices adequate client billing and sensible expense control.
  • Solidify effective long-term relationships with own and Account Executives key client decision makers and frequently monitor political management and other changes within client organizations to preserve and protect the Companys relationship with the client.
  • Utilise a thorough understanding of the clients business risk management and insurance needs to ensure that our services and programs continue to meet their complex needs and expectations.
  • Develop and lead implementation of clear and effective renewal and broking strategies ensuring renewal performance exceeds set targets.
  • Strengthen positive and tenacious client retention and development focus amongst subordinates through regular communication of client status and retention issues.
  • Ensure that effective account retention and defence strategies are in place for all clients at all times.
  • Lead revenue generation growth and other opportunities by actively developing additional business from existing portfolio and other sources in line with budget targets.
  • Act as a thought leader for the regional power team focusing on solving problems and implementing solutions across the Asia Power teams and connected teams and across functionality to deliver high quality solutions.
  • Drive productivity efficiency and continuous improvements within projects and initiatives across client services and solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships manage existing book of business and assist in acquiring new clients.
  • Handle portfolio of clients and deliver expected broking outcomes and financial performance of the portfolio and new business acquisition with the team.
  • Understand and stay current on each clients business situation and strategy with close collaboration with the Advisory Placement and Client Relationship teams to deliver relevant broking solutions.
  • Lead overall client strategy and day-to-day market placement activities relating to major and complex accounts.
  • Lead negotiations with markets by providing RFP expertise technical knowledge and advisory market knowledge etc.
  • Coordinate and prepare placement slips endorsements and underwriting submissions.
  • Prepare premium spreadsheets and draw up schematics.
  • Achieve business outcomes and drive governance around initiatives related to client deliverables profitability and internal productivity.
  • Participate in new business initiatives.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve common objectives for the team and clients.
  • Coach and develop less experienced team members.
  • Oversee the quality of deliverables and enforce deadlines on respective accounts where required.

What you need to have:

  • Degree in any discipline with at least 10 years of client-facing experience in the insurance industry.
  • Excellent project coordination skills amongst all related stakeholders (Insured retail office Marsh network offices).
  • Engage in key communication with retail offices on client service model placement strategy and key markets communications.
  • Able to communicate and present market updates to clients and retail offices.
  • Excellent market interaction relationship building with markets and negotiation skills.
  • Good technical knowledge on policy power wordings/clauses and a good understanding of contractual documents.
  • Have Certificate in General Insurance (CGI) or equivalent or complete CGI within a reasonable period upon employment.
