Nursing Home Administrator
Location: Arizona State Veterans Home Flagstaff
Schedule: MondayFriday 8:00 AM5:00 PM
Pay: $55$58/hour
Job Summary
The Nursing Home Administrator provides leadership financial management and oversight for a Medicare-certified skilled nursing facility serving the long-term and rehabilitative needs of Arizonas Veterans/Members. This role ensures that resources are effectively utilized to maintain the highest practicable physical mental and psychological well-being of each Veteran/Member.
The Administrator represents the Arizona State Veterans Home as its face in the community building strong relationships with federal and state agencies Veterans Service Organizations and other community partners.
Key Responsibilities
Provide leadership and financial oversight for facility operations
Ensure effective and efficient use of resources to deliver high-quality resident care
Develop implement and monitor goals objectives programs projects policies and procedures
Enforce facility and departmental policies while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
Act as liaison with state/federal agencies and community organizations to promote positive relationships
Implement and monitor Arizona Management System (AMS) tools and concepts to improve efficiency problem-solving and continuous quality improvements
Requirements
Experience: 35 years in Long-Term Care including prior experience as an Administrator
Education: High school diploma (minimum requirement; higher education preferred based on experience)
Licensure: Must hold a current Nursing Home Administrator license in Arizona
Drivers License: Required as driving is part of state business duties
Fingerprint Clearance: Must have a valid clearance card issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety
Skills & Competencies
Strong leadership and organizational management
Knowledge of long-term care regulations and Medicare-certified facility standards
Ability to build collaborative relationships with agencies organizations and stakeholders
Effective decision-making communication and problem-solving skills
Familiarity with AMS concepts for continuous improvement
