The Senior E-Learning Manager will provide thought leadership in the application of learning experience design strategies and methodologies particularly in the areas of instructional design and courseware development to deliver learner-centered training solutions across all levels in the organization.
The Senior E-Learning Manager will lead and mentor a team of E-Learning Managers who are in charge of different roles such as Learning Experience Designers Interactions Experts New Media Developers Content Inspectors and LMS Administrators.
This role will report directly to the VP of Learning and Development for Southeast Asia but will support global operations located in Philippines Taiwan North America Tijuana and India.
The Senior E-Learning Manager will:
Hire train mentor and evaluate staff to ensure seamless execution of proposed learning interventions
Provide overall direction to the following workstreams to deliver innovative and high-impact learning solutions:
Learning Experience Design - Conceptualization of dynamic learning ecosystems that will boost new hire speed to proficiency and address performance gaps in production.
New Media and Courseware Development - Utilization of various graphics video and course authoring software to develop visually appealing and modern-looking instructional media. Development of advanced instructional media which includes but not limited to: guided tool simulations interactive lessons and assessments motion graphics instructional videos and game-based courses.
Collaborate with key functions within the organization to achieve training operational and financial goals:
Implementations Project Management Client Services Consultancy and Product-Specifics Training (PST) for new campaign/LOB launches
Operations Management Quality and PST to address performance gaps in production
Learning and Organizational Development (L&OD) for continuing education and skills enhancement
Other Support functions and vendors for organization-wide special projects (e.g. new tool/technology process updates)
Evaluate and report learning effectiveness and impact.
Research new ways to deliver relevant authentic and more meaningful learning experiences through computer-based/self-paced instructor-led or blended modes of delivery.
The success of the Senior E-Learning Manager is measured through:
Implementing training programs that reflect a learner-centered teaching philosophy
Improving learning transfer
Increasing speed to proficiency rates in new hire training
Achieving appropriate contractual client metrics
Adhering to agreed timelines

EDUCATION
Bachelors degree in Instructional Systems Design or any related field a plus but not a requirement.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS
None
WORK EXPERIENCE
3-5 years mentoring teams in the E-Learning space
3-5 years actively practicing instructional design methodologies in a fast-paced environment
3-5 years designing learner-centered training programs and developing related training materials
Drafting measurable training goals and learning objectives (in all three learning domains)
Developing appropriate learning assessment strategies and instruments
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Technology literate; can easily work with new software (e.g. media development tools office suite and other web applications)
Understanding of functionalities of courseware authoring tools (e.g. Adobe Captivate Articulate Storyline)
Experience with E-Learning design principles practices and platforms (LMS)
Experience creating static and motion graphics using Adobe Creative Cloud programs (Photoshop Illustrator After Effects Premiere Edge Animate and so on).
Experience developing instructional media with at least one e-learning authoring tool (Adobe Captivate and Articulate Storyline preferred).
Solid grasp of visual design principles.
Knowledge of e-learning development/interaction levels.
Knowledge of Blooms Taxonomy of Learning Domains (or Anderson and Krathwohls).
Knowledge of Mayers 12 Principles of Multimedia Learning.
OTHER SKILLS
Demonstrated ability to make decisions by using logic to identify key facts explore alternatives and propose quality solutions
Demonstrated ability to communicate information and ideas clearly and concisely verbally and in writing
Demonstrated ability to interact with peers management and other departments in a professional manner
Must be able to foster a positive and productive work environment with the ability to lead build teams and motivate staff
Strong organizational and interpersonal management skills
Ability to manage time effectively and efficiently
Self-motivated and directed with keen attention to detail
