Join us as a Bitumen Sprayer Operator in Petone
We are looking for a skilled and safety-focused Bitumen/Emulsion Sprayer Operator to become part of our Wellington team. This practical position is responsible for operating bitumen sprayers and related equipment on various roading and civil infrastructure projects.
In this role you will operate tankers and other plant equipment in compliance with safety regulations to ensure high quality bitumen application on all projects. You will also ensure daily vehicle and equipment inspections including reporting any defects or maintenance issues.
In addition to the above you will:
Safely load transport and handle bitumen and emulsion products
Maintain accurate records of spray operations and material used
Work collaboratively with your team and supervisors to meet project deadlines

Were looking for someone with:
Minimum Class 2 license with dangerous goods Current Class 5 license preferred
WTR endorsements
Soild experience in the civil construction and surfacing industry specifically in both spraying bitumen and emulsion products
In depth knowledge of safe handling practices for both bitumen and emulsion
Flexibility as this role will have you working both day and night shifts across the region
A reliable team member who puts a strong focus on safety
NZIHT Bitumen sprayer operator qualification preferred
NZIHT plant and tanker operator qualification
Mechanical experience preferred
